Welcome to Cilze. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application. Cilze is a jewelry styling and archiving platform designed exclusively for users aged 18 and older. By accessing or using Cilze, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
- Account registration data: email address, password, and display nickname.
- Profile information: avatar image, bio text, and collector preferences.
- User-generated content (UGC): jewelry photos, styling looks, captions, comments, voice memos, and chat messages you create or share within the app.
- Feedback and support communications sent to us via in-app forms.
- In-App Purchase transaction records processed through Apple's App Store payment system.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device information: device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers.
- Usage data: pages viewed, features used, interaction timestamps, and session duration.
- Network information: IP address, connection type, and general geographic region.
1.3 Information from Device Permissions
- Camera: Used to capture jewelry detail shots, styling photos, and piece documentation. Camera access is requested only when you initiate a photo capture action.
- Photo Library: Used to select existing images for look publications, profile avatars, and piece archives. Access is requested only when you choose to upload media.
- Microphone: Used to record voice memos attached to styling notes and voice messages in collector chats. Microphone access is requested only when you initiate a recording.
- Network: Required for account authentication, content synchronization, and communication features.
All device permissions are optional. You may deny or revoke any permission at any time through your device Settings. Denying a permission will only limit the specific feature that requires it.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account and authenticate your identity.
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Cilze application and its features.
- To process and fulfill In-App Purchase transactions.
- To display your published looks, pieces, and comments to other users.
- To facilitate communication between collectors and designers through in-app chat.
- To send service-related notifications about your account, content, or transactions.
- To enforce our Community Guidelines and moderate user-generated content.
- To detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or security concerns.
- To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
3. In-App Purchases
Cilze offers optional In-App Purchases for premium features and content. All purchases are processed exclusively through Apple's App Store payment infrastructure. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment card details, bank account information, or Apple ID password. Purchase records (transaction ID, product purchased, date) are retained for customer support and legal compliance purposes. All In-App Purchases are subject to Apple's terms and refund policies.
4. User-Generated Content (UGC) Policy
Cilze enables users to create, upload, and share content including jewelry photos, styling looks, text captions, comments, and voice recordings. By submitting content to Cilze, you represent and warrant that your content complies with our Community Guidelines.
4.1 Prohibited Content
The following types of content are strictly prohibited on Cilze. Violation may result in immediate content removal, account suspension, or permanent ban:
- Sexually explicit or pornographic material: Any content depicting nudity, sexual acts, sexual solicitation, or sexually suggestive imagery. This includes but is not limited to explicit photographs, illustrations, animations, or text descriptions of sexual content.
- Disturbing or graphic content: Content that depicts extreme violence, gore, mutilation, animal cruelty, self-harm, or any material designed to shock, disgust, or cause psychological distress to viewers.
- Gambling-related content: Promotion, advertisement, or facilitation of gambling activities, online casinos, sports betting, lottery schemes, or any form of wagering for monetary gain.
- Drug and substance abuse content: Promotion, glorification, sale, or instructional content related to illegal drugs, controlled substances, drug paraphernalia, or substance abuse. This includes content encouraging or normalizing recreational drug use.
- Political propaganda and extremism: Content promoting political campaigns, partisan political messaging, political extremism, radicalization, terrorism, or content designed to manipulate political opinions or incite political violence.
- Discrimination and hate speech: Content that promotes hatred, discrimination, harassment, or violence against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic.
- Harassment and bullying: Content targeting specific individuals with threats, intimidation, unwanted sexual attention, doxxing (sharing private information), or sustained campaigns of harassment.
- Intellectual property infringement: Content that violates copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights of others without proper authorization.
- Fraudulent or deceptive content: Scams, phishing attempts, counterfeit product promotion, misleading claims about jewelry authenticity, or any content designed to defraud other users.
- Illegal activities: Content promoting, facilitating, or instructing illegal activities including but not limited to theft, money laundering, human trafficking, weapons trafficking, or any violation of applicable laws.
- Spam and manipulation: Repetitive unsolicited content, fake engagement, bot-generated content, or coordinated inauthentic behavior designed to manipulate the platform.
- Minor exploitation: Any content that exploits, endangers, or sexualizes minors in any way. This is a zero-tolerance policy resulting in immediate permanent ban and report to relevant authorities.
4.2 Content Moderation
We employ a combination of automated systems and human review to monitor and moderate user-generated content. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these guidelines without prior notice. Users may report content they believe violates our policies through the in-app reporting mechanism.
4.3 Content Ownership and License
You retain ownership of the content you create and share on Cilze. By posting content, you grant Cilze a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content within the application for the purpose of operating and promoting the service. You may delete your content at any time, which will terminate this license except where copies have been made by other users in accordance with platform features (such as saving looks).
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:
- With other Cilze users as part of the platform's social features (published looks, comments, profile information you choose to make public).
- With service providers who assist us in operating the application, subject to confidentiality obligations.
- When required by law, legal process, or governmental request.
- To protect the rights, property, or safety of Cilze, our users, or the public.
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with appropriate notice to users.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal compliance, dispute resolution, or fraud prevention. Aggregated, anonymized data that cannot identify you may be retained indefinitely for analytical purposes.
7. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encryption of data in transit, secure storage practices, access controls, and regular security assessments. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

- Contract Performance: Processing necessary to provide you with the Cilze service as agreed upon registration.
- Legitimate Interests: Processing for fraud prevention, security, service improvement, and analytics.
- Consent: Processing based on your explicit consent, such as optional device permissions and marketing communications.
- Legal Obligation: Processing required to comply with applicable laws and regulations.
8.2 International Data Transfers
Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your country of residence. When we transfer data outside the EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission or other legally recognized transfer mechanisms.
9. Age Restriction
Cilze is intended solely for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a person under 18, we will take immediate steps to delete that information. 10. Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time through the Settings section within the app. Upon account deletion:
- Your profile information, published looks, and personal data will be permanently removed within 30 days.
- Comments and messages you sent to other users may be anonymized rather than deleted to preserve conversation context.
- Data required for legal compliance or active dispute resolution may be retained for the legally required period.
- In-App Purchase records will be retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulations.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy within the app and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of Cilze after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
