1. About Cilze

Cilze is a premium jewelry styling platform that allows you to archive your jewelry collection, create and publish styled looks, communicate with fellow collectors and designers, and maintain detailed records of your pieces including material composition, provenance, care instructions, and styling history. The application features a private vault for organizing pieces by material and category, a publishing system for sharing curated looks with the community, contextual chat for discussing styling details, and a comprehensive profile system for managing your collector identity.

3. App Permissions

Cilze requests the following device permissions to provide its full range of features. All permissions are optional and can be managed through your device Settings at any time:

3.1 Camera Access

Camera access enables you to capture live jewelry detail shots, mirror styling photographs, and document new pieces directly within the app. This permission is used when you choose to take a new photo for a look publication, update your profile avatar with a fresh capture, or document a piece for your vault archive. The camera is activated only when you explicitly tap a capture button. Cilze does not access your camera in the background or without your direct action.

3.2 Photo Library Access

Photo library access allows you to select existing images from your device for use within Cilze. This includes choosing jewelry photos for look publications, selecting images for your profile avatar or cover, and attaching reference images to chat conversations. When you grant photo library access, you may choose to provide full access or limit access to selected photos only. Cilze reads images only when you actively select them through the image picker interface.

3.3 Microphone Access

Microphone access enables you to record voice memos that can be attached to styling notes and published looks, providing additional context about your styling decisions, material observations, or design inspiration. Voice recordings can also be sent as messages in collector and designer chat conversations. The microphone is activated only when you explicitly initiate a recording action and stops immediately when you end the recording.

3.4 Network Access

Network access is required for core application functionality including user authentication, content synchronization between devices, real-time messaging in chat conversations, and loading community content. Without network access, you may still browse previously cached content, but publishing, messaging, and account management features will be unavailable until connectivity is restored.

4. Common Issues and Solutions

Unable to log in to my account

Ensure you are using the correct email address and password combination. Check that your device has an active internet connection. If you have forgotten your password, use the password recovery option on the login screen. If the issue persists, try closing and reopening the app, or reinstalling it from the App Store.

Photos are not loading or appearing blank

Verify that you have granted Cilze access to your photo library in Settings > Privacy > Photos. Ensure your device has sufficient storage space. Try restarting the app. If images from other users are not loading, check your internet connection stability.

Camera is not working within the app

Go to your device Settings > Privacy > Camera and ensure Cilze has permission enabled. If the permission is already granted, try restarting the app. If the issue continues, restart your device. Note that camera functionality is not available on simulator devices during development.

Voice memo recording fails

Confirm that microphone access is enabled in Settings > Privacy > Microphone for Cilze. Ensure no other application is currently using the microphone. Check that your device is not in Silent mode if you are trying to play back recordings. Restart the app if the recording interface becomes unresponsive.

App crashes or freezes

Ensure you are running the latest version of Cilze from the App Store. Check that your device has sufficient available storage (at least 100 MB free). Close other background applications to free up memory. If crashes persist, try deleting and reinstalling the app. Your account data will be preserved as it is stored on our servers.

Chat messages are not sending

Verify your internet connection is active and stable. Check that the recipient has not blocked your account. Try switching between Wi-Fi and cellular data. If messages remain in a pending state, close and reopen the conversation.

Unable to publish a look

Ensure your look has a title entered. Check your internet connection. If you attached a photo, ensure it was successfully selected (preview should be visible). Try reducing the image size if the upload seems to stall on slower connections.

Account deletion request

You can delete your account directly within the app by navigating to My > Settings > Delete Account. This action is permanent and will remove all your personal data, published content, and account information within 30 days. If you are unable to access the in-app deletion feature, contact us at jewelry@cilzelabs.com with your registered email address to request manual account deletion.

5. Feature Guide

5.1 Vault

The Vault is your private jewelry archive. Add pieces by tapping the plus button, categorize them by material type (Rings, Earrings, Necklaces, Watches), and track wear count, care reminders, and provenance notes. Each piece entry supports photos, metadata, and links to the looks where it has been styled.

5.2 Publishing Looks

Create styled looks by combining pieces from your vault with photos and captions. Add a title describing the styling concept, attach a photo from your library or camera, optionally record a voice memo explaining your styling logic, and select the pieces featured in the look. Published looks are visible to other Cilze users and can receive likes and comments.

5.3 Chat

Contextual chat keeps conversations attached to specific looks, pieces, or designer profiles. Start a chat from any detail page to maintain styling context throughout the conversation. Chat supports text messages, and conversations are organized by thread type (Looks, Designers, All).

5.4 Profile Management

Manage your collector profile including avatar, nickname, and bio. View your statistics (pieces archived, looks published, saved items, drafts). Access your history, settings, and account management options from the My tab.
